Ceramic Dark Grey
This is an all-in-one product that combines unsurpassed elegance and function in a compact design. It includes an OFYR cooking unit with wood storage, a sturdy cutting board and a practical storage compartment for accessories and spices. Available in 85 cm and 100 cm hotplate sizes. The chopping board is available in teak or dark gray ceramic.
With an island, you choose an eye-catcher that is a complete outdoor kitchen.
A ceramic worktop can be left outside permanently, a teak worktop is best stored in a dry place when not in use and treated regularly with an oil suitable for food.
The tool tray can be mounted on the side or at the back.
The black-coated models are more maintenance-intensive: the top of the island must be kept clean and dry, especially at the base of the cone, to prevent rusting. The use of a cover is recommended.

Good question!
Always choose high-quality, clean wood with little bark. It is recommended to use kiln-dried or very dry wood with a maximum moisture content of 20%. Dry wood reduces smoke development during cooking and is easier to ignite. Choose a harder type of wood, such as beech or ash. Softer wood such as birch burns very quickly, so you will need more wood. Be careful when using tropical hardwood as it generates a lot of heat. If too much of this type of wood is used, the hotplate may warp. Please note: Do not use green wood and avoid softwoods such as eucalyptus, elm or sycamore, as these types of wood can contaminate your food and cause health problems.
The ideal dimensions of the log are 10x30 cm. We do not recommend using larger logs, as they simply catch fire but do not burn properly due to a lack of oxygen. We recommend smaller logs for the 85 and 75 cm versions than for the 100 cm version.
Stack the wood as if you were building a log cabin (about 2-3 layers high) or a tepee. Make sure the bark is facing outwards to limit smoke production. If you have an OFYR XL, Trailer or 120 PRO+, make 3 smaller fires to heat the hotplate faster. Place some wood wool in the middle and light the fire.
How many people you can cook for depends on the size of your OFYR and what type of food is being prepared. The exact numbers will of course also depend on the skills of the cook.
OFYR 100
Hamburgers, sausages or vegetables: 60 - 70 people
Complete meal: 15 - 20 people
If food residues remain on the plate, they can simply be pushed into the fire with the spatula. Rub the hotplate with an oiled cloth and it will be perfectly clean again. Do not leave a large layer of residue on the plate for a long time, as it can be difficult to remove. If this does happen, place ice cubes on the plate and scrape with the spatula so that the residue disappears quickly.
The outside temperature is an important factor in the time it takes to heat the griddle properly. This time can range from 25-30 minutes in spring and summer to 45-60 minutes in fall and winter.
They are used for warmer and less warm parts of the plate. The hotter sections are suitable for grilling, for example for meat. The less hot sections, on the other hand, are suitable for salmon, for example, or for keeping food warm.
